What better way to approach this timber frame custom cottage than to build a smooth granite path from the driveway, leading to the timber entry porch. Built on the west shore of beautiful Lake Vernon in Muskoka near the Town of Huntsville, landscape designers bordered the driveway with a linear granite path for easy access to the front door.
Among other landscape features, this cottage has granite stair treads also supplied by Northern Rock, to access the lower level walk-out to this 7 bedroom custom timber frame home set into the gorgeous natural landscape setting of Muskoka. The homeowners appreciated the consistency of both the granite steps and the flagstone as they are easier to walk on and easier to clear snow from in winter. This family not only loves the summer months at the lake but also enjoy skiing, hiking and snowmobiling in the winter.
